Dr. S.K.Ghosh was formerly Professor (Mgt. & HRD), and Member, Board of Governors, National Institute of Finance Management, Faridabad. He was a former Faculty Member, Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie. Dr Ghosh completed a course on Management Theory & Practice at the John Heinz III School of Public Policy and Management, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh (U.S.A.) with distinction, in 1992. Awarded Certificate in Training & Development by the Institute of Training & Development, Beaconsfield (U.K.) in 1986, he has designated as "MASTER TRAINER' in Training Techniques / Training Methodology by the Government of India in collaboration with the Thames Valley University, Slough, (UK). Dr Ghosh is an accredited Recognised User of the 'Direct Trainer Skills (DTS)' and 'Design of Training (DoT)' Packages of the Thames Valley University, Slough, (U.K.) since 1992; Recognised User of the Exaction Simulation Game developed by Professor Graham Chapman, School of . Oriental and African Studies, University of London, (U.K.) since 1993 and has completed a Post Graduate Level Programme on "Training of Trainers" at the Institute of Development Policy and Management [IDPM], Victoria University of Manchester, Manchester [UK] in 2002. Dr Ghosh has been teaching Master of Business Administration (Finance) students. His specialisation includes Principles of Management, Organizational Behaviour, Good Governance & Responsive Administration Training Methodology, especially in Direct Trainer Skills (DTS) , Design of Training (DoT) & Management of Training (MoT) packages, Green Revolution/Exaction Game, Presentation Skills, Report Writing.
He is in the panel of Resource Persons of the Department for International Development, India [DFID] and the United Nations Regional Precursor Control Project [UNDCP] for conducting training programmes. He is also in the Panel of Examiners of Delhi University for Ph.D Thesis and MD University, Rohtak for MBA. Among others has been Consultant to Study Group constituted by the Government of India on "Training of IAS Officers: Impact Assessment and the Strategy for the Future" in 1996-1997, Member of the Study Team constituted by the Department of Personnel & Training for development of DTS - II package for development of advanced Trainer Skills and World Bank to study for capacity building of Regional Training Centre at Bishkek, Kyrygzstan, in 2005.
Dr Ghosh has edited a book titled HRD in the Third World -Quest for Empowerment (1996) New Delhi Vikas Publishers. His articles have been published in the Administrator, Indian Journal of Public Administration, Social Change etc.
